Donald Chaput collection.

This collection consists of various Michigan mining records covering the years 1843-1971. The records contain pamphlets, postcards, and xerox copies of news articles describing mining activities. There are details about copper mines, lists of mining companies, along with business prospectuses of certain mining companies describing where their land is located, the nature of the terrain, and analyses of mineral deposits. There is information concerning copper, iron, coal, gold, and silver mining in the state, and a rough draft of Mr. Chaput's book on Hubbell.
